The evening job
The calculations are the same every time. Why do them by hand every time?
A job gets measured on site. Then somebody sits down with a notebook and a calculator to work out the glass sizes, the bars of each section to buy, the hardware, the labour and the discount — and writes it all out again for the workshop and the supplier.
- One number wrong and the glass is cut wrong. An eighth of an inch is not a rounding error when it is already through the cutter.
- Rates change and old bills quietly disagree. Every quotation here is frozen with the rates it was priced on.
- The site has no signal. The work happens where the window is, not where the WiFi is.

Yes, The Aluminium Pro keeps your quotations on your phone and copies every finished quotation to your account whenever you are online, so a lost or broken phone does not lose your work. Your customers and payments are kept in your account too, and come back when you sign in on a new phone.
How is The Aluminium Pro different from a spreadsheet or a calculator?
The Aluminium Pro already knows aluminium and glass work, so you type only the sizes: the designs, the rate list, the glass and the hardware are built in. A spreadsheet has to be built and checked by you, and a calculator gives one number at a time; The Aluminium Pro gives the whole priced quotation, the material list and the cutting list, ready to send.
